Q. What support do you offer?
A. You can have FREE support for a lifetime by e-mail. We usually answer
your e-mails in 24-48 hours time. You can also enter in our home page
and have a chat with one of our representatives.
Q. What are the rules for giving a name to a field?
A. The name must be in Latin characters, it can have characters from
"a .. z" or "A .. Z" or digits "0..9" or the "_" (underscore).No other
character is allowed, including space. (The "HTML Mail" is not a valid
field while the "HTML_Mail" it is).
They must start with a letter.
Fields are Case insensitive.
Q. How many fields a Mailing List can have?
A. Every list can have up to 19 fields and the e-mail field with the name
email which is being added by default. Therefore you don't have to
enter a field for the e-mail.
Q. Why do I have to declare another e-mail to forward the e-mails I
will receive and I will answer with the auto-reply?
A. After Scheduler send an auto-reply to someone, it deletes the e-mail
to avoid re-replying to the same message. However that message probably
contains information that is important to you. In order to be able to
view this message you must enter a Forward e-mail in which the message
will be forwarded.
Q. I am getting an "I/O error 104" error when the eMailer2001 Scheduler
is trying to get new messages.
A. The file you put in the filters in the scheduler task does not exists.
Either you didn't enter a name or you misspell it.
Q. I get a "Key violation error". What that means?
A. This error appears when the scheduler is trying to add an e-mail
address that already exists in your list. Usually the program ignores
the same records but when there are two e-mails sent one after the other
you may get this error.
If the error persists then you should run your e-mail client to download
the messages from your mail server, one of them is an e-mail that already
exists in your list, (normally it would be the first e-mail with the
subject you have specified to trigger the new-subscriptions task).
Q. How many follow up messages can I have?
A. Until the 2.01 version you could have 10 messages. In the new version
you can use 1000 follow up messages. Obviously you won't use so many
therefore we believe that they are more than enough.
Q. In the SpamChecker I don't see the recipients address. Why so?
A. The message goes to a pre-defined autoresponder address who will
send you a reply in a few seconds. The e-mail you will use to check
your message
will not be used by us or by any third party.
Q. Can the eMailer2001 update the details of some one who has already
subscribed to it automatically?
A. Yes. In Scheduler there is a Task Routine named
Edit Subscription.
It works the same way as the New Subscriptions task only it doesn't add new
subscribers to your list but updates some of the information your subscribers
have. You can create a second form where you can allow your subscribers to
change some of their information (not the e-mail) and using this task you
can save the updates.
Q. Does eMailer2001 keep a log of the email addresses that it was not able
to send to?
A. In 2.20 version the
Find Invalid e-mails feature has been added
which checks how many of the e-mails in your list are invalid.
